The youth at church have an annual ebike ride to McDonalds for breakfast and then off to the Dragon Boat Festival Races. It was fun to join in the fun! We don't quite have enough ebikes for our family but others were willing to share. I rode in the sidecar of a motorcycle which was really fun! The best part was watching all the natives faces as they stopped to stare and take pictures of us. :)
McDonalds is still McDonalds. The menu is identical to the menu in the States. There are a few sandwiches that are catered to the locals. I'm not really a fan of McDonalds and so I didn't expect much. I did really enjoy the hash browns! That's the best part at McDonalds.
The weather was drizzling rain off and on so it was really overcast and gloomy. We missed the opening ceremonies and almost all of the fun because we were eating at McDonalds. Next year, I will skip the breakfast and go enjoy the event. I did get to see a couple of races. I even saw one of the boats capsize after the race because the winds and waves on the lake were rough.
