Connie and I got up early this morning to go to the temple again. We were
able to make it to an 8:30 am session at the Manila Temple. It was a beautiful day. We participated in 2 endowment sessions and a
sealing session.
After
the sealing session, we talked with one of the ladies that was with us and she
asked where in the USA we were from. I visited with her and found out that this woman, Sister Duran, has a daughter
that just received a call to the Mesa Arizona Temple Visitor’s Center! She took our emails and we are going to
connect. She was so excited to meet people from the area where her daughter is going on a mission. I think it eased her fears that her daughter would be so far away.
After
our time in the temple, we walked around the temple grounds. I enjoyed taking some pictures. It was so moist and foggy that I had a hard time getting pictures before the lens on my camera would fog up. Some of the foggy pictures actually turned out pretty cool.

When we were leaving the temple, we saw a few jipneys in the parking lot. There were local groups of church members who had hired the jeepneys to bring them to the temple. The jeepney drivers were lounging in the vehicles while they waited for the members. So much fun!
We went back to the hotel so I could change my shoes
and then walked to a Pasta restaurant that we have been wanting to eat at all
week. We walked there and found out that
they were closed until dinner. Closed AGAIN!! Sad day –
we were starving because we hadn't eaten all day!
We followed our noses and found a Dunkin Donut that was giving away free donuts. It was fun to get a donut.
WE decided to use our 20% off coupon at
Chilli's and have a good ol’ American hamburger.
We were tempted by a couple of appetizers so by the time our hamburgers
arrived, we were full. We took our
sandwiches back to our hotel to eat just before we leave for the airport.
